Stay Positive, 7 Helpful Habits

7 Helpful Habits to Stay Positive

Being Positive comes natural for some, while others like myself have to work at it every day. I work on building habits that will help me be positive in a more organic way. I’ve listed 7 things I incorporate into my life on a daily basis. I hope you can find value in at least one of these 7 helpful habits to stay positive.

Make a space at home; your own dedicated Positive Environment

We all need our own fortress of Solitude. Have an area at home, where you can recharge your battery. Make sure to fill the space with things that make you feel good. Use this area for you. You can pay your bills and finish work in another area.  Size is not important; you just need that special space. That may end up being your car on the drive home. The focus is on the feelings produced, not the actual space.

Find someone to help

I’m not saying you have to go to the homeless shelter 7 days a week (Bravo if you do). It may be helping your kids with a school project. Maybe you have an elderly neighbor who can’t get to the store by herself, or even just calling someone and letting them vent while you truly just listen. You never know how much value you might be adding to someone else’s day.

Feed your Positivity; Read a book, watch a movie

There are times when we just need to go on autopilot and let someone else drive. Diving into a great book or watching a funny movie, can raise our spirits. Once you have that positive vibe, it’s easy to keep it going!

Make a list of things you are Grateful for

This is something I do several times a day. You don’t have to write it out on a piece of paper. Every morning in the shower I make a huge mental list of all the things I’m grateful and thankful for. It sets you up for a positive day!

Exercise, the type does not matter

As most of us know, exercise produces endorphins! We love endorphins, nature’s own little happy drug. Most of us may dread going to the gym, but we all know how fantastic we fell when we’re done.

Use Positive Affirmations

I used to think this was some crazy hippie thing. Whenever I feel a negative thought running around in my head, I just start saying positive affirmations.  Personally I have a little list I run through in my head. (I am a money magnet, I am a love magnet, I am a health magnet, I am a happiness magnet) Find what works for you.

Smile, even if you have to fake it

Put on that happy face! That’s right, Smile. Even if you have to fake it, you never know who will be affected with that smile. You yourself will forget you are faking it. Smiles are contagious. This is just a fact. LOL

We all have those off days, it’s how we handle them that matters. We control our feelings. So use these ideas and make them yours. So put on that happy face! You are a fucking unicorn! I hope you have a great day!

Please feel free to post a comment, I’d love to hear from you!
